FAQ

Character card basics

What is a character card?

A character card packages the information a roleplay bot or creative workflow needs: name, personality, scenario, first message, system prompt, notes, and export data.

Is this only for AI roleplay?

No. It is optimized for RP bots, but the same fields are useful for DnD NPCs, fiction OCs, game characters, and recurring worldbuilding cast members.

Can I copy famous characters?

No. Create original characters. You can use broad archetypes, mythology, folklore, and public-domain inspirations, but not protected franchises or lookalikes.
